Established in 1987, Peggy Karr Glass is the premier American design studio of handmade, fused glass giftware. The colors are hand-stenciled on to a layer of hand-cut glass and a second layer of glass is then placed on top. The entire piece is placed on a mold and kiln-fired, fusing the glass and color into one. The subtle color variations, surface texture, and bubbles that result give their products a distinctive, handmade appearance. Each is a one-of-a-kind work of art. Every piece bears their signature and the year of production. All the pieces are non-toxic and dishwasher safe. They are even safe for microwave warming but not oven use.

Jeanette McCall is know for her skills in raised relief art. Originally a Master baker/patissier in Toronto, Canada, she was a consistent gold medal winner in culinary competitions and was commissioned to design one of the royal wedding cakes for Prince Charles and Lady Diana. She has cleverly adapted her skills to the pottery market and has become a leading exponent and teacher in this fine art. This art form, Tube Lining, is the art of adding raised relief decoration to ceramics. This form is very similar to the work used by the master artistans who worked for Moorcroft pottery. Each piece of pottery is individually tube-lined and layered with ceramic color and detail making each piece unique as well as requiring several firings to maximize the use of color. This pristine colored, detailed and subtle brushstrokes and flowing raised lines are the hallmarks of Jeanette's work. Of her art she says: "In this computer driven era, I want to make pieces that people touch and use - lively and with feeling." Jeanette's choice of color, mix of form with function, and raised relief "piping" as she calls it, gives her work a special look. "That touch of whimsy", she says, "is the Icing on the Cake".
